About
A National Trust visitor centre cafe at the threshold of Thorncombe Wood, at the birthplace of author Thomas Hardy - genuinely excellent homemade cakes (the warmed Dorset Apple Cake with cream comes highly recommended), with beautiful grounds including a 30-acre area with a pond, wild horses and information displayed on slices of tree trunk.
