Officially, precisely dog friendly - dogs are welcome on request in 2 of the 9 rooms with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub, plus the pub's own resident dog, Tilly, always happy to meet new friends especially if treats are involved

A critically acclaimed "organic, radical, ethical" pub and hotel at the top of Totnes High Street overlooking Rotherfold Square, opened December 2019 after a year of ecologically-driven renovations - Giles Coren of The Times gave it 9/10, and it won the National Restaurant Awards 2024 Sustainability Award alongside Top 5 Most Sustainable Hotels 2024 (Country & Town House x Polestar).
