A genuine village pub in Willingdon near Eastbourne, reputedly the very pub that inspired the pub scenes in George Orwell's Animal Farm - Orwell is known to have stayed in the village, with the nearby Chalk Farm said to be his inspiration for the farm itself; a nice log fire and local, friendly atmosphere, with a comprehensive Badger ales menu.
