Genuinely dog friendly in the pub area and outside seating in the historic courtyard, though NOT in the overnight accommodation itself - a real customer account confirms dogs booked for a room stay were turned away at check-in and told bar-only, despite some booking sites implying otherwise
About
A Grade I listed, 600-year-old timber-framed medieval galleried courtyard inn, the most complete surviving example of its kind in Britain, built in 1450 - the announcement of Lady Jane Grey's succession to the English throne was famously made from the inn's first-floor gallery in 1553. Just 350 yards from Gloucester Cathedral.
