Known locally as "The Kicker", this extraordinary 14th-century pub is one of the most unspoilt inns in the South West, hidden down a quiet lane in the Gordano Valley. The snug was once the village lock-up; the main bar has a huge fireplace with a display of old rifles. Beers served from a small serving hatch, some on gravity. Has a famous "woof wall" where visiting dogs are celebrated. Dogs are welcome in certain areas on leads. Meals served Monday to Saturday lunchtimes. 2 miles from M5 Junction 19.
