A genuinely rare 17th-century inn in Huish Episcopi, one of only six pubs in the entire country without a bar counter - drinks are served from handpumps directly against the wall in a flagstoned taproom - run by the same family for five generations since 1920, affectionately known as Eli's, with the founder's name literally cut into the thatched roof and a curious room called the "Men's Kitchen".
