The oldest pub in Cheddar village, dating back to the 17th century with a beautifully preserved thatched roof and original oak beams. Only a 10-minute walk from the famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge, and just off a National Trust walking route. A maze-like interior with different areas to explore, plus a lovely secluded beer garden. Serves Butcombe and Otter real ales. Has its own resident pub dog.
