Lincoln Cathedral
Dog policy
Officially, extensively dog friendly for many years - "well behaved dogs are welcome throughout the Cathedral and are likely to receive lots of fuss from our staff and volunteers", admitted without an additional entry fee and even welcome at services (seated in allocated seats by vergers), with dogs also enjoying the guided floor tour alongside their owner; not permitted in the Learning Centre, historic libraries, or restricted/food-service areas, and only guide/assistance dogs at paid events like concerts
About
A genuinely magnificent Gothic cathedral atop Lincoln's Steep Hill, construction begun in 1072, once the tallest building in the world for over 200 years - home to one of the original copies of the Magna Carta, resident peregrine falcons nesting on its towers, and a complimentary guided floor tour included with every entry ticket.
