About

Free to visit, in Old Portsmouth, originally founded in 1180 and rebuilt in the 17th century before becoming a cathedral in 1927 - genuinely quirky in that its spire is topped not by a cross but by a weathervane-like ship called the Golden Barque, and it holds the tombstone of the only recovered sailor from the wreck of the Mary Rose.
