Dog policy

Officially, exceptionally dog friendly - dogs on a short handheld lead are welcome throughout the Cathedral itself, the Cloisters, and even the Chapter House housing the Magna Carta, with water bowls in the Cloisters and a biscuity treat available from the Welcome Desk; only the Refectory restaurant is assistance-dogs-only

About

One of Britain's finest cathedrals, with the tallest spire in the country at over 400 feet and the largest Cathedral Close of any English cathedral - home to Britain's oldest working mechanical clock and the best-preserved of only four surviving original copies of the 1215 Magna Carta; an annual "All Creatures Great and Small" pet blessing service is held each September.
