St Edmundsbury Cathedral
Dog policy
Officially, exceptionally dog friendly - "well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome at St Edmundsbury Cathedral! We might even have a treat for them when they arrive", per the Cathedral's own official FAQ; the Cathedral has run its own annual "Dogs in the Cathedral" calendar since 2024, photographing real local dogs around the building (including a Border Collie "giving a sermon" and a Dachshund attending a service), and some dogs are genuine regulars at services. Bury St Edmunds itself was voted the most dog-friendly town in the UK.
