Dog policy

Officially, directly confirmed on the pub's own site: "well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome throughout the pub" - a real customer review notes dogs are allowed inside, not just outside, and dog biscuits are kept behind the bar

About

A friendly pub first documented as The Royal Oak in 1794 under landlord Josiah Watts, closed and reopened as The Star Inn in 1825 - situated next to a babbling brook in an ancient part of Watchet where the sea can always be heard, with a welcoming bar, log fire, and a large summer beer garden.
