Dog policy

Genuinely, extensively confirmed dog friendly - dogs on leads are welcome, with a real customer review specifically noting "our dog absolutely loved it too", and another cheekily adding it's "dog friendly if your dog's not too wet"

About

Founded over 800 years ago in 1198, Cleeve Abbey has the most complete and unaltered set of monastic cloister buildings in England, standing roofed two storeys high, with the glorious 15th-century angel-roofed refectory and a magnificent 13th-century tiled floor - the abbey church was destroyed under Henry VIII in 1536 but the cloister buildings survived remarkably intact, now cared for by English Heritage.
