Dog policy

Genuinely, warmly dog friendly - owners Patrick and Claire have their own two resident dogs who often visit the pub to greet customers, with treats behind the bar available for a small donation to charity. Dogs can stay in the bedrooms (check with the venue when booking). Source: https://www.thehelyararms.com/rooms/, Oct 2026.

About

A Grade II listed 15th-century inn run by Patrick and Claire in the picturesque village of East Coker, with mellow stone and thatch cottages nearby, historic Coker Court, and St Michael's church - the final resting place of T.S. Eliot and birthplace of explorer William Dampier.
