Officially, extensively confirmed "pets are most welcome" - all 12 en-suite bedrooms are pet friendly too, with a small additional charge for overnight stays (please mention when booking)

A 13th-century coaching inn, known locally as "the Top Ship" - one of the oldest inns on Exmoor, surrounded on three sides by hills and on the fourth by the sea, with roaring log burners in winter, a large outdoor seating area, and a children's play area for summer, still a genuine family-owned free house run by Royston and Caroline Connor.
